Frequently Asked Questions
We've collected the most common questions to help you plan your training.
Getting a driver's license takes an average of 2-3 months. This includes theoretical and practical training, as well as completing a first aid course. This timeframe may increase due to absences, holidays, or other factors.
We only accept absences as justified with a medical certificate. In that case, the missed material can be made up in consultation with the instructor.
Different age requirements apply to each category. Category AM (moped): The course can be started up to six months before the age of 14. The theory exam can be taken up to 3 months before turning 14, and the practical exam can be taken from the age of 14. Category B (passenger car): The course can be started from age 16 and a half. The theory exam can be taken from age 16 years and 9 months, and the traffic exam from age 17. Category A (motorcycle): Age requirements depend on the subcategory — A1: 16 years, A2: 18 years, A: 24 years (or 20 years with at least 2 years of A2 license). Exams can only be taken after reaching the required age.
Yes. A Group I medical fitness certificate is required to obtain a driver's license. This is issued by your general practitioner. The certificate confirms that you are medically fit to drive. The validity period depends on age (usually 5-10 years). The medical examination fee is regulated by law.
You can attempt both the theory and practical exams multiple times. However, if you fail a subject 5 times, you must undergo a career aptitude test (PÁV) before further attempts. Each new exam attempt requires a separate exam fee payment.
Yes. For more details, please inquire in person at our office or through any of our contact channels.
After a failed theory exam, you can try again (until the course validity expires). For road exams, your instructor will help guide you through the next steps.
For Category B enrollment, you will generally need the following documents:
• valid ID card or passport
• address card
• valid medical fitness certificate
• document proving at least 8 years of primary education
• required residence documents in case of foreign citizens
If you previously started your training at another driving school, a transfer certificate may also be required.
You must pass the traffic exam within 2 years from the successful theory exam. If this doesn't happen, the entire training (including theory) must be restarted and all exams retaken.
Yes, it is possible to complete the practical training and exam with an automatic transmission vehicle. However, in that case, the license will only authorize driving automatic vehicles. If you later want to drive a manual car, a separate exam is required.
